1)    Announcing the engagement – Once the family and the close relatives know about the engagement. 2)    Setting the date – This is one of the toughest parts because of the 21st century pressures. Choosing a date is also difficult because of both the partners’ professional commitments. Before choosing the date, one must jot down all the processes and time it would take. A sufficient time should be kept for all arrangements

3)    Choosing the Dress – A wedding gown has to undergo a lot of adjustments and requires at least six months and the tailor requires at least six months to do this. So this is one of the perquisites before setting the date.

4)    The Venue – The venue then has to be chosen. If the wedding is at a church, the available must be discussed with the church authorities, it must also be seen that whether there is enough space for the guests. Some churches would also have restrictions against loud music and alcohol, so this must be kept in mind before deciding the venue. If you choose the location on the outside, then the weather must be kept in mind.

5)    The Guests – This is a tedious process and would require a lot of brainwork. If it is an intimate family affair, then you call your close friends, but if it is a medium to a large event. Then you’ll be preparing a guest list. You think of all the people who have shared you happiness or sadness and who are you well wishers. Once the card is printed, it would be very polite if you personally visit them and give the card.

6)      The Food, Décor and operations – The Décor has to be ostentatious. The couple’s personality must be evident in the décor. The menu is also a great hassle; a lot of food is wasted in weddings so one should give a contract to experienced planners. The cake should also be tasted before ordering. Since one would want to revisit it time and again, once should hire a professional photographer to capture the moments. The actors like the Bridesmaid, the Best Man and the other actors must be well aware of their role like a play.
